a first grade note, that warms my soul.

A note from Hailey:
"your young and beliblyliefle."

It was brought to my attention that it says, you are young and beautiful.

Thanks Hailey, I love you so much, I need to remember this more often.

Run!!!

Last night we went to the one mile race, that is held by a local college, and advertised at her school. It was awesome, and sooooo crowded. I signed them both up for the mile, and they were practicing running and stretching, such a fun and healthy atmosphere. I met "iron cowboy", he has participated in 23 ironmans and has more to go. I guess the record is 20, I don't know if that is in a year or what, but even still, pretty impressive. He told me he runs a marathon every weekend. He took it easy this past weekend, camein 3 hours and 15 minutes. He finished his last ironman in 10 hours and 30 minutes, that is so neat.
The races began, Hailey ran with her age girls and Ryker was allowed to go with the first grade boys.
When the gun went off, so did Hailey. Ryker grabbed my hand shaking. It was sad. I looked down with his number bib on and big alligator tears coming down, "my legs hurt", I said well we will just run what we can, and we can stop anytime.
His gun went off, and we ran hand in hand, and we stopped one minute later, and ended the race. He did not want to run, and I was not going to make him. I want him to enjoy things, and if he doesn't then, whatever, we will try something else.
We went to the finish to find Hailey. She finished 14:24. She did awesome. Her comments were too funny. "A mile is really long mom."
"I stopped and walked and then thought, oh, I need to keep running, I'm a finisher!!!"
"I met a friend and we talked and ran mom, it is much easier with a friend. I told her my mom should have ran it with me, mom you should have ran it with me."
This morning she rolled out of bed, "oh, my legs hurt! Is this normal, I must have ran real hard, mom."
Ryker said, "I should not have said I was going to do this."
I am all about finishing, but I did not want to carry him to the finish, like we do in every race, he is a big boy, and I am battling a cold.
Maybe not mom of the year, but Hailey rocked it, and I am so proud of her!!!!

Brigham City Temple and Lagoon!!!

What a weekend!
We went to the Brigham City Temple open house on Friday night, and we loved it. It was a long wait, but soooo worth it. It is so beautiful, and has so much little detail. Every temple is beautiful, but every one has such little details that make them such a different experience.
When we got up to the shoe covers, Ryker had the hardest time, I felt bad for the girl putting them on him, I just said please put them on, while Ryker was kicking and crying sooooo loud. I then said try being the doctor who gives him a shot and she started laughing.
Ryker did leave them on the entire time, but I was worn out. I held him the entire time, all 42 pounds of him.
We went to my sisters home, and let the kids sleep in the same room as their cousins, because we thought they were so tired they would go to sleep. They did, and so did the parents.
Hailey gave me a note the morning after, thank you leting us sleep offr we love it.
Then it was off to Lagoon. We had such a fantastic time. It was the best day, no wind, and very sunny.
We rode so many rides. Ryker: helicopters, swings, puff, baby boats, bulgie the whale, a little titel wave boat, and bumper cars (like 10 times). He was 45 inches and you had to be 46, but the guys were nice and let him enjoy the cars, thank you for letting him ride them. Ryker hates fast rides, he was freaking out on every one of them. He especially hated puff and the swings. He cried and screamed the entire time, I held in laughter most of the time, but the swings got me, I was laughing so hard and he was crying so hard, and yelling at me "don't laugh at me mom!" I would gain composure and assure him that he was fine, but then would laugh again. We were making all the moms and dads laugh, that didn't have to ride with their children.
Hailey is a thrill seeker, she rode: the scrambler 10 times and tilt a whirl 10 times, paragliders, that look like umbrellas, the planes, bom bora, which she didn't like this year, the bat, and all the baby rides with her brother, and the log ride. We had a lot of fun together.
We all rode the sky ride, and really enjoyed each others company. We stayed until they closed, and came home so tired.
We then got up on sunday and went to regional conference. It was a great conference, and I am glad that we went, even though, general conference, 2 hours, two kids, not a good mix, considering we were all exhausted, and mean to each other.
We are having a good week though: Mike fixed the dishwasher. We also fixed the washer and dryer situation. It will be so nice when our home will be a functioning home. What a sweet tender mercy.
We are looking forward to the temple dedication this weekend. I really like those so much.
I had a dream last night about my grandparents who passed away really super close together, and it seemed like I was talking to them, and that they were alive.....we were all talking about them, and they were just so kind and loving, which they always were. I just really miss them, and I am glad they got to visit me. I am thrilled that I know that our family is a forever family, and that we are all sealed together, and we can see and talk to them again. I don't think they are so far away after all.
That's all for now, hope everyone has a fantastic week.

SEVEN!!!!

Our dear Hailey Bug turned seven yesterday. This was such a happy day for her and I. Ryker and I have spent a lot of time at her school, but yesterday, I promise it felt like all day. I came home soooo tired. I do home reading books on monday, Ryker and I help distribute them to the students bags. Then we went to recess and met such good cute kids, we also ate lunch with her. Her teacher is great, and has them be star of the week the week of their birthday, so we got to share things and give the class treats. The kids all were so nice to Hailey, my dreams of having kids be accepting are coming true one day at a time.
Then we left, and it was Rykers time for school. I don't know what to do with myself when they are both gone!
Then I went and got Hailey and did homework and reading, and then it was Rykers turn to come home. We all cuddled on the couch and watched Shark Boy and Lava Girl. Then we went to get her cute friend and took us to dinner, her favorite Chick Fil A. Then we took the girls to a store in the mall and let them pick something out, they seemed to have a great time. I was so thrilled to see her having "kid" fun. She and her friends are sooooo cute together.
We then went to her grandmas home, and had cake and homeade ice cream.
I cannot believe she is seven years old. I am so happy she is my daughter and I love her to the moon and back!!!
Here is 7 things that I love about Hailey:
1-her confidence....man, she is awesome.
2-her fight in her....she knows what is right, and will debate anything.
3-her kindness.
4-her love for her brother and any child.
5-her willing heart, she is so caring to everyone.
6-her singing and dancing, it is great fun.
7-her love of reading and doing homework, I hope this one lasts a lifetime. She is soooo smart.
I could go on and on, I just love her, and hope she had a great day.
She said "This was the best day in my whole life." "School was awesome, my friends were so nice to me." "I wish my birthday was everyday."

Love you-
Mom

forgot!

So....with all of the recap, I forgot some vital information. Hailey came home sick on the second day of school with a fever, nothing else. So, I put her down for a nap, and she was fine the next day. Well, Ryker came down with a cough, and had to stay home from preschool, after the weekend(we went up to Idaho for a cousin wedding, we had to come home early because I could tell, he was getting worse, and needed albuteral, and other medicine, that was at home.) After two nights of sleeping in his bedroom, I took him to the doctor, Bronchitis it was.....again. Him and these coughs, I just don't get it. So, that put cooking and moving on a long hault, I am so grateful for great doctors who we trust and know, and for antibiotics for this guy.
He is doing better, and Hailey is awesome. I sure love these kids.

life has just been nuts!!!!

Well, it has been a long time. During this long period of silence, a lot has happened. Let me fill you in:
We moved, yes you heard right. We just felt like we should, I am not saying where we moved on our blog, so if you know, please keep that private. I also would like to say, that if you don't and you know my phone number call, and I will let you know.
We bought a home. We put the offer in 7 months ago, and two months ago, we found out that our offer was accepted. It was a short sale, and we were the second offer. We put this in after we had felt like we were supposed to be here. I forgot about the offer, our summer had been busy and stressful, we celebrated 10 years, and lot of other stuff going on. I got in the groove of yard work, house work, working at the gym on fridays, and working out daily. Then we got the call, our offer was accepted.
What offer? We came down and saw the house, this time the inside, and looked it over. We had very mixed feelings. We had back and forth feelings like crazy. Then we inspected it, and did the appraisal, and thought hmmmmm, we should probably start the loan.....2 weeks for that to finish. I hadn't even started packing, this is the 11 move, and I was just not excited to pack everything up and move again.
The week of moving was here, and the loan was not yet done, and the days were going by too fast. Mike took the day off to take down beds and wrap the big stuff.  A big branch fell off of our tree? No wind, What???? This happened the day we were packing up. Sooooo......we had to get a tree crew, (my family, and awesome brother in law), and a moving to the u-haul crew (ward and more family), this was such a crazy night. I thought, we did it, the tree mess is picked up, and we are packed, tomorrow we close, this is perfect.
The next morning, we didn't get a close time, it was still in the underwriting process....WHAT????? We got many phone calls saying we were not going to be able to close, and that we were going to lose the home, it was the last day of the contract.
I went down to my parents, I needed a break, and the kids needed to play. Mike came down later, and got me and we went and prayed and talked about things. I thought we would need to unpack, in our own driveway.
We went back to my parents to pick up the kids, and we watched Mr. Bean, never seen that before so that was distracting.
Mike had a feeling to call the agent, and ask if we could close on Monday, since this was Friday and they don't close over the weekend. She said, no, and that we were scheduled to close at 5:30, well this was 3:15, we got ready and made a few more phone calls, and took the kids to closing down in SLC.
It was crazy, it did close. During all of this, we were informed that we could not move in until Monday. Well, this made me nuts. Hailey was starting school on Tuesday, and back to school night was on Monday as well. We drove down on Saturday, and moved into the garage, with the wards help. We then took our little displaced family to Mikes parents home, and stayed there. We drove to our ward the next day, so we could have the kids make some friends. This ward is soooo great and welcoming!!!
On Monday, I got the okay to go into the house and clean it. We moved in at 6:30. Hailey had back to school night at 5:30, Mike had to leave to help out the help we had at our house. I finished with Hailey and took them home, to our new home. We got the beds put up, and kids in the bath, and then to bed.
We started the morning off right. Hailey loved her first day of school, she has adjusted just fine. Ryker is in preschool and he also loves it.
I have just unpacked and tried to have a normal in my day. This week I just got to the yard, I am slowly feeling like this is our home, and that we made the right decision for our family. I was almost, so close, to giving up, and not going through with this trial.
We have a few glitches because it is a short sale for a reason, but overall, life is good. We have put our life in the hands of our loving Heavenly Father. He knows best, because we don't for sure.
